Suspect Arrested in Connection with Robbery of Great Western Bank in Sioux Falls

Acting Special Agent in Charge Richard Schwein of the Minneapolis Division of the FBI announces the arrest of Alvione Jones, date of birth August 28, 1990, of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Jones was arrested pursuant to a bank robbery that occurred on June 25, 2012 at approximately 7:30 a.m. at the Great Western Bank branch located at 234 North Sycamore Avenue in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Shortly after the robbery, Jones was apprehended by law enforcement officials from both the Sioux Falls Police Department and the FBI. It is anticipated that Jones will be charged with one count of bank robbery this afternoon.

Alvione Jones is presumed innocent of this crime until/unless convicted in a court of law.
