On January 3, 2011, at approximately 7:08 p.m., the TCF Bank branch located at 1503 South Robert Street in West St. Paul, Minnesota, was robbed by a lone masked man. The suspect entered the bank brandishing a silver handgun. No customers were in the bank at the time. The suspect told the bank employees to get down as he jumped over the teller counter and took an undisclosed amount of cash from two teller drawers. The suspect was last seen leaving the bank in a grey, four-door vehicle. The vehicle’s license plate was covered in snow.

The suspect was described as an Asian male based on his voice and skin color. He is about 5’4” tall and weighs about 135 pounds. He wore a black hooded sweatshirt, a black mask, a white hat, gloves, and slip-on type shoes. No surveillance camera photos are available for release.

Ralph S. Boelter, Special Agent in Charge of the Minneapolis Office of the FBI, requests that anyone with information regarding the bank robbery contact the Minneapolis FBI at (763) 569-8000, the West St. Paul Police Department at 651-552-4200, or Crime Stoppers.
