The FBI is releasing information of an attempted bank robbery that took place on December 5, 2015, at approximately 10:26 a.m at a Bank of America branch, 1414 Alton Road in Miami Beach.

The subject entered the bank, displayed a note to a bank employee demanding money, and threatening that he had a bomb. The subject also made a verbal threat to a bank employee that he would shoot a customer. The subject was never given any money and left the bank. There were customers in the bank, there were no shots fired, there was no device/object left behind, and no injuries to anyone inside the bank.

After leaving the bank, the subject was approached by law enforcement and is now deceased.
