FBI Announces Arrest Made in Connection with a Bank Robbery Yesterday in Coral Springs

The FBI announces the arrest of Timothy Jermaine Ward, 40, of Plantation, Florida, for his alleged involvement in the robbery on November 20, 2015, of a Suntrust Bank branch located at 1890 North University Drive in Coral Springs, Florida.

The arrest was made after Ward tried to flee law enforcement. Agencies involved in the tracking and ultimate arrest included the Coral Springs Police Department, the Broward Sheriff’s Office (Violent Intervention Proactive Enforcement Response Unit), and the FBI.

Ward is in federal custody and is facing federal charges. Ward’s initial appearance is expected to be in Fort Lauderdale Federal Court on Monday, November 23, 2015.

The Coral Springs Police Department, the Broward Sheriff’s Office, the South Florida Violent Crimes Task Force, and the FBI continue their investigation.
