FBI Releases Further Information Regarding an Armored Truck Robbery in Sunrise

The FBI continues to seek the public’s assistance for information about a Brinks armored truck robbery on January 17, 2013, in the vicinity of the 7700 block of W. Oakland Park Blvd, Sunrise, Florida.

Brinks is offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the subject(s). This reward offer expires on Sunday, February 3, 2013.

It is believed the robbers used a second getaway vehicle that has been described as a silver car with a rear spoiler and damage to the trunk where the keyhole would be. Some witnesses said the make of the car was a Lexus.

The bank robbers description can be found on a video released at the scene. A copy of this video is available during normal business hours at the FBI’s Miami Field Office located at 16320 NW 2nd AVE, North Miami Beach, Florida. News media interested in obtaining a copy of this video must bring a USB compatible computer to download the video from a thumb/flash drive.

Anyone who has information as to the identity of this bank robber is urged to call the FBI at (305) 944-9101, Sunrise Police Department or Crimestoppers.
