SOUTH BEND, IN—The United States Attorney’s Office announced that:
Dispositions:
- Mario Rosario-Diaz, 47, of Berwyn, Illinois, was sentenced by Judge Jon DeGuilio to 33 months’ imprisonment after pleading guilty to the felony offense of reentry of a deported alien. This case was the result of an investigation by U.S. Immigration and Custom Office of Homeland Security Investigations. This case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Barbara Brook.
- Nathan Vanderaa, 34, of Star City, Indiana, was sentenced by Judge Robert Miller, Jr. to 33 months’ imprisonment and two years of supervised release after pleading guilty to the felony offense of being an unlawful user of a controlled substance in possession of a firearm. This case was the result of an investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives. This case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Frank Schaffer.
Plea:
- Troy Lively, 42, of Westville, Indiana, pled guilty before Judge Rudy Lozano to the felony offense of bank robbery by force or violence of Demotte Bank in Demotte, Indiana. These charges were filed as the result of an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Demotte Police Department. This case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Nicholas Padilla.
The specific sentence to be imposed in each case upon conviction will be determined by the judge after a consideration of federal sentencing statutes and the Federal Sentencing Guidelines.
