The FBI is investigating a shooting incident which occurred within the boundaries of the Pine Ridge Reservation on Saturday April 8, 2017. Preliminary reports indicate Jeffrey Lynn Curry, Jr., of Allen, SD, died during an exchange of gunfire with law enforcement authorities. The FBI routinely conducts death investigations on Pine Ridge as part of its Major Crimes jurisdiction and is unable to release additional details at this time since the investigation is ongoing.
