MIAMI—Today is Maribel Oquendo-Carrero’s 50th birthday. The FBI and Homestead Police Department are asking anyone who may have information about Maribel’s whereabouts or what happened to her to come forward with that information.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the recovery of Maribel Oquendo-Carrero and/or the identification, arrest, and conviction of the person or persons responsible for her disappearance.

Maribel was last seen on December 6, 1982, when she left her home, an apartment in the Sky Vista Apartments on the 1500 block of NE 8th Street in Homestead, Florida, to walk to the corner store called Food Spot in the Sky Vista Shopping Center. She has not been seen or heard from since.

She was born in Camden, New Jersey, and has ties to Puerto Rico, Florida, and New York.

The Homestead Police Department and the FBI continue to investigate.

MIAMI—Hoy es el cumpleaños número 50 de Maribel Oquendo-Carrero. El FBI y el Departamento de Policía de Homestead están pidiendo a quien tenga información sobre el paradero de Maribel o sepa qué le sucedió a ella, que la proporcione.

El FBI está ofreciendo una recompensa de hasta $25,000 por información que conduzca al hallazgo de Maribel Oquendo-Carrero y/o a la identificación, arresto y condena de la persona o personas responsables de su desaparición.

Maribel fue vista por última vez el 6 de diciembre de 1982 cuando salió de su residencia, un apartamento en Sky Vista Apartments ubicado en la cuadra 1500 NE 8th Street en Homestead, Florida, para caminar hacia la tienda de la esquina llamada Food Spot en Sky Vista Shopping Center. No se sabe nada de ella desde esa fecha.

Ella nació en Camden, Nueva Jersey, y tiene vínculos con Puerto Rico, Florida y Nueva York.

El Departamento de Policía de Homestead y el FBI continúan investigando.
