FBI Announces the Arrest of an Alleged Serial Bank Robber

The FBI announces the arrest of Rodrick Domonique Jones, 37, of Lake Park, Florida, on federal bank robbery charges for his alleged involvement in four South Florida bank robberies.

Jones was arrested by the FBI without incident on 1/31/2019 in Lake Park, Florida.

Jones is charged for his alleged involvement in four bank robberies:

  1. 04/14/2016—Chase Bank, 525 NE 7th Street, Delray Beach
  2. 05/19/2016—Chase Bank, 5955 SE Federal Highway, Stuart
  3. 06/22/2017—Chase Bank, 525 NE 7th Street, Delray Beach
  4. 02/17/2018—Chase Bank, 5955 SE Federal Highway, Stuart

Jones is in federal custody. The complaint detailing the charges can be found in PACER under the Southern District of Florida. For his next hearing, please contact the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Florida.

Jones was dubbed the “Ball Cap Bandit” because he wore baseball caps during the robberies.

The Delray Beach Police Department, Martin County Sheriff’s Office, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, and the FBI continue their investigation.
