FBI Seeking Credit Union Robber
The Knoxville Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Chief David Rausch of the Knoxville Police Department (KPD) are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the man who robbed a credit union on June 26, 2014, in Knoxville.
At approximately 12:50 p.m. on June 26, 2014, a man entered the City Employees Credit Union at 4426 Western Avenue in Knoxville, Tennessee. While keeping one hand inside his pocket, he demanded money from the bank employees. The subject has been described as follows:
- Black, male
- Approximately 6’2” to 6’4” tall
- Approximately 190 to 210 pounds
- Blue/white striped polo-style shirt
- Long blue shorts
- Black skull cap with “BeBe” on it
- Black shoes
After obtaining money from the bank, the robber fled on foot in the direction of the Kroger on Western Avenue.
This individual’s description is similar to the description of the suspect in additional robberies in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Knoxville FBI at 865-544-0751 or the KPD at 865-215-7212. A reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of this individual.
This matter is being investigated jointly by the FBI Safe Streets Task Force (SSTF), composed of the FBI, KPD, KCSO, and the KPD Major Crimes Unit.
All defendants are presumed innocent unless or until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
