FBI Offers Reward of Up to $10,000 for Information Regarding the Homicide of Shawn Ricks

The FBI and the Kansas City Missouri Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the individual(s) responsible for the murder of Shawn Ricks, 30.

Ricks’ body was discovered on July 26, 2020, when police responded to 3400 block of Indiana Ave. in Kansas City, Missouri on a reported homicide. Upon arrival, officers identified the victim, who was deceased in the street from apparent gunshot injuries.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual/s responsible for his murder. Anyone with information is asked to call 816-474-TIPS or submit a tip online at tips.fbi.gov. This reward is separate from the reward being offered by the Kansas City Missouri Crime Stoppers.

The FBI, working with our partners continue to identify violent offenders within Kansas City as part of Operation Legend and are relying on the community to come forward with information needed to bring those individuals responsible for the death of Shawn Ricks to justice.
