Bandaged Bandit Robs Bank with Bandaged Right Hand

The FBI Violent Crime Task Force needs the public’s help to capture a bank robber who threatened tellers and robbed a bank—all while his right hand was bandaged with some kind of medical wrap. Was it part of the crime, or a medical injury? If you know the answer and can identify this bank robber, Crime Stoppers of Houston is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to his arrest.

The robbery happened at 2:12 p.m. at the First Convenience Bank located inside the Walmart at 10411 North Freeway in Houston, Texas, on Saturday. The “Bandaged Bandit” walked into the bank alone carrying a note with his bandaged right hand. He approached a teller and handed her the threatening note which demanded cash. No weapon was displayed during the robbery. No one was physically hurt. The robber did get away with an undisclosed amount of cash. He exited the bank and made a getaway inside a black sports utility vehicle (SUV) parked in the Walmart parking lot.

The Bandaged Bandit was described as a black male wearing sunglasses, a long-sleeved black shirt, and possibly jeans. His entire right hand was bandaged with a tan-colored medical wrap. His getaway vehicle was a black SUV with a sun roof.
