“Playbook Pilferer” Sought by FBI Houston for Bank Robbery

Up to $5,000 Cash Reward

(HOUSTON, TX—The FBI Violent Crime Task Force needs the public’s help identifying and locating a man, dubbed the “Playbook Pilferer,” who robbed a Chase Bank in northwest Houston today. Crime Stoppers of Houston is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information which leads to the identification and arrest of the robber.

The robbery occurred at approximately 9:00 a.m. on Monday, September 18, 2023, at the Chase Bank located at 6910 FM 1960 in Houston, Texas.

The suspect entered the bank, approached a bank counter, and verbally threatened a teller while demanding cash. The teller handed over an undisclosed amount of money, which the robber placed into a blue “playbook” folder he carried. The robber left the bank traveling westbound on foot. No one was physically hurt during the robbery.

The robber is described as a black male between the ages of 35-40, weighing approximately 245 lbs., 6’3” tall, with a heavy build and long, thick dreadlocks. During the robbery, he wore a black medical mask, dark shirt, blue pants, and a baseball cap that displayed the “Texans” football team logo on the front. He also carried a blue folder in which he placed the money.
