FBI Houston Seeks “Blue Man Bandit” for Bank Robbery
Up to $5,000 Cash Reward
HOUSTON, TX—The FBI Violent Crime Task Force is asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating a man, dubbed the “Blue Man Bandit,” who robbed a Capital One Bank in west Houston. Crime Stoppers of Houston is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the identification and arrest of the robber.
The robbery occurred at approximately 2:38 p.m. on Thursday, May 2, 2024 at the Capital One Bank located at 1260 Blalock Road in Houston, Texas. During the robbery, the suspect entered the bank, approached a teller, and handed them a note that threatened the teller and demanded cash. The suspect fled the bank on foot southbound on Blalock Road with an undisclosed amount of money. No one was physically hurt during the robbery.
The robber is described as a black male in his 30s, approximately 6’2” tall, with an average build, and a beard. During the robbery he wore a black hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, a blue medical mask, blue latex gloves, black shoes, a black beanie hat, sunglasses, and carried a black mesh backpack.
