FBI Seeks Information from a Bank Robbery at Chase Bank in Lakewood

The FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force and Lakewood Police Department need your help locating two bank robbers, who robbed the following bank on Saturday, January 16, 2021:

  • Chase Bank
  • 5500 West Alameda Avenue
  • Lakewood, Colorado
  • Approximately 12:30 p.m.

On Saturday, January 16, 2021, at approximately 12:30 p.m., the Chase Bank located at 5500 W Alameda Avenue, Lakewood, Colorado, was robbed using a robbery demand note. A weapon was not seen during the robbery.

Suspect 1 is believed to be a white male, approximately 6’0” tall, with a thin build. He was wearing a black beanie cap, reading glasses, a white mask, a black leather jacket, a light-colored button up shirt and light-colored pants.

Suspect 2 is believed to be a white male, with medium height, and a medium build. He was wearing a black beanie cap, a red bandana as a mask, a black jacket with a black shirt underneath, gloves, and dark colored pants.

Please be on the lookout for anyone matching the suspects’ descriptions. Be aware of anyone similar who might have recently changed their spending habits or discussed coming into money suddenly.

Bank robbery is punishable up to a 20-year prison sentence for each offense, and increases if a dangerous weapon is used in the commission of the crime. The FBI continues to provide financial institutions with the best practices for security to make them less vulnerable to robberies.
