FBI Seeking Information About Attempted Bank Robbery in Denver, Colorado and Armed Bank Robbery in Aurora, Colorado on December 23, 2017 and January 8, 2018

The Denver and Aurora Police Departments and the FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force are investigating the following bank robberies:

  • US Bank (Attempted)
    8401 East Belleview Avenue
    Denver, Colorado
    December 23, 2017, 2:31 p.m.
  • First Bank (Armed Bank Robbery)
    6715 South Corner Star Way
    Aurora, Colorado
    January 8, 2018, 5:25 p.m.

The suspect is described as a white male, 50 to 60 years of age, approximately 5’10” tall, possible facial blemish, with a medium build.

During the Aurora robbery, the suspect brandished a handgun to the teller, demanded money, and fled the bank on foot in an unknown direction.

Bank robbery is punishable by a 20-year prison sentence for each offense and increases if a dangerous weapon is used in the commission of the crime.
