Cobb County Police Department, FBI Arrest Bank Robber Wanted in Florida and Ohio

Special Agent in Charge (SAC) David J. LeValley, FBI Atlanta, in conjunction with Chief of Police Mike Register, Cobb County Police Department (PD), announces the following recent arrest at Smyrna, Georgia.

On Friday, July 7, 2017, at approximately 2:00 p.m., Abdou Seye, age 26, of Canal Winchester (Columbus), Ohio, was arrested without incident by Cobb County Police and FBI Atlanta on a federal criminal complaint issued in the Southern District of Florida, Miami, Florida, charging him with bank robbery. Seye is charged with the June 16, 2017 robbery of a Bank United in Miami, Florida.

Seye is also wanted on a state of Ohio warrant also charging him with bank robbery in the Cincinnati, Ohio area. He is also a suspect in several additional Cincinnati, Ohio bank robberies, as well as one in Mobile, Alabama.

Seye will have an initial appearance later today in front of U.S. magistrate judge Richard B. Russell Federal Building, Atlanta, Georgia.

The public should be reminded that the above are merely allegations and that all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
