Atlanta Woman Wanted for Murder by APD Arrested

David J. LeValley, Special Agent in Charge, FBI Atlanta Field Office, in conjunction with Atlanta Police Chief Erika Shields, announces the following recent arrest at Atlanta, Georgia.

On Tuesday, September 12, 2017, FBI agents and task force officers/Atlanta P.D. assigned to the FBI’s Atlanta Metro Major Offender (AMMO) Task force, arrested Michelle Hightower, age 50, of Atlanta, Georgia, at the 400 block of Chappell Road, Atlanta, Georgia without incident. Providing valuable assistance in this arrest were Atlanta P.D.’s Zone 1 officers.

Hightower was wanted by Atlanta P.D. on murder charges in connection with an August 6, 2107 homicide of Michael Magee, age 62, at 1314 Bernard Street NW, who had sustained a gunshot wound to the head.

This matter is being investigated by the Atlanta Police Department.

The public should be reminded that the above are merely allegations and that all persons are to be considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
