A criminal complaint was filed yesterday in U.S. District court against a Chicago woman in connection with the April 12, 2012 attempted robbery of the North Community Bank branch located at 5241 North Western Avenue in Chicago. Regina M. Gillon, 47, of the 2200 block of West Farragut Avenue, was charged in a one-count criminal complaint with attempted bank robbery, a felony offense. She appeared yesterday before Magistrate Judge Michael T. Mason, at which time she was formally charged and ordered held until her next court date, scheduled for May 10, 2012.

A copy of the criminal complaint is attached.

The public is reminded that a complaint is not evidence of guilt and that all defendants in a criminal case are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
