Wanted by the FBI: Top Ten Fugitive Bhadreshkumar Chetanbhai Patel

A man accused of brutally murdering his new bride at a donut shop in Hanover, Maryland in April 2015 is the newest addition to the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list.

Mollie Halpern: A man accused of murdering his new bride is added to the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list.

An up to $100,000 reward is available for information leading to the arrest of Bhadreshkumar Patel.

On April 12, 2015, Patel and his wife, Palak, were working together on the night shift at a donut shop in Hanover, Maryland, when Patel took his wife’s life.

Anne Arundel County Police Detective Kelly Harding says the murder was caught on surveillance.

Kelly Harding: Palak was young, the scene was very brutal, and she died in a horrible way.

Halpern: Afterward, Patel walked to his apartment, changed his clothes, and grabbed cash and his passport. Then, he took a taxi to a hotel near the Newark Liberty International Airport.

FBI Special Agent Jonathan Shaffer says the next morning Patel…

Jonathan Shaffer: …gets in the hotel shuttle, where the driver takes him to Newark Penn Station. And at that point, we don’t know where he went.
