Mollie Halpern: The FBI needs your help to track down the man wanted for the tragic death of a mother of two.

In December of 2010, Nelio Martin Sotomayor-Sanchez was driving in Bucks County, Pennsylvania when he tried to go around the vehicle in front of him. He illegally crossed the center double lines into oncoming traffic and crashed into Sheree Maillie’s car – fatally wounding her.

Case Agent Adam Sucheski says Sotomayor was driving without a valid license.

Adam Sucheski: After Sotomayor recovered from his injuries, he traveled to Miami, then eventually fled to Colombia and then to his home country of Peru. We believe he remains there trying to hide from the law.

Halpern: Sheree’s daughter, Julie…

Julie Maillie: She loved more than most people.

Halpern: Sheree’s husband of more than 30 years, Michael…

Michael Maillie: Justice, I want justice for her.

Halpern: If you have information on the whereabouts of Nelio Martin Sotomayor-Sanchez, please contact your local FBI office or the nearest American Embassy or Consulate. With Wanted by the FBI, I’m Mollie Halpern of the Bureau.

Mollie Halpern: Sheree Maillie dedicated her life to serving others, first as a federal police officer and then as a wife and mother.

Sheree’s daughter, Julie…

Julie Maillie: She loved more than most people.

Halpern: Sheree’s husband of more than 30 years, Michael…

Michael Maillie: Oh, she was always happy, always smiling and wouldn’t say anything bad about anybody. She always kept me in line. She always made me look at the bright side.

Halpern: Investigators say this man, Nelio Martin Sotomayor-Sanchez, fatally injured Sheree in a car crash.

Case Agent Adam Sucheski says Sotomayor did not have a valid driver’s license.

Sotomayor was injured in the collision, and after he was discharged from the hospital, he traveled to Miami.

He later fled the country, first to Colombia and then to his native home of Peru.

Julie Maillie says she and her father want justice served.

Julie Maillie: It just seemed so easy for this man to kill someone and then leave. It’s just so sick that anyone would know that this happened and not do something to bring it to an end.
