McDonough, Georgia Bank Robber Sought in Two Area Bank Robberies

Britt Johnson, Special Agent in Charge, FBI Atlanta Field Office, along with the Chief Preston Dorsey, McDonough Police Department, requests the public’s assistance in identifying and apprehending the individual responsible for the January 20, 2015 armed robbery of the Fidelity Bank in McDonough, Georgia and the January 6, 2015 robbery of the Fidelity Bank in Morrow, Georgia.

On Tuesday, January 20, 2015, at approximately 10:55 a.m., a lone black male brandishing a handgun entered the Fidelity Bank, located at 1375 Highway 20 West, McDonough, Georgia, and announced a robbery. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of money, the robber departed the bank without further incident. The robber was observed as having a slender to medium build, wearing a black jacket with hood, black gloves, red scarf, and brandishing a large frame semi-auto handgun, dark in color.

Witnesses described a possible getaway vehicle as being a new model four-door Buick.

This robber is believed to also be responsible for the January 6, 2015 robbery of the Fidelity Bank branch located at 1267 Southlake Circle in Morrow, Georgia. Witnesses described a possible getaway vehicle as being a gold-colored Buick with drive out tags.

In both incidents, the robber thanked the tellers as he departed the bank.
