FBI Seeks Public Assistance Identifying Bank Robbery Suspect

Special Agent in Charge (SAC) J. Britt Johnson, in conjunction with Chief George N. Turner, Atlanta Police Department, requests the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the individual responsible for today’s robbery of the Wells Fargo Bank at 2238 Glenwood Avenue in Atlanta, Georgia.

On Wednesday, September 9, 2015, at approximately 10:27 a.m., the Wells Fargo Bank branch located at 2238 Glenwood Avenue in Atlanta, Georgia, was robbed by a lone black male who presented a demand note to a bank teller while announcing the robbery. The robber threatened to shoot those in the bank if the teller did not comply.

After obtaining an undisclosed amount of money, the robber departed the bank without further incident.

The robber is described as a black male, early to mid-20s in age, 6’0” to 6’4” in height, slender build, long dreadlocks and wearing blue jeans and a grey hooded long-sleeved shirt.
