The FBI needs the public’s help identifying a brazen bank robber who is believed to have robbed at least four Houston-area banks within the past several months. Two of those robberies occurred earlier today at J.P. Morgan Chase bank branches in the Houston suburb of Cypress, Texas. During three of the four robberies, the bank robber is wearing an orange Texas Longhorn cap. Surveillance photographs of the bank robber are below, and a Crime Stoppers reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information leading to the bank robber’s identity and arrest.

The first robbery occurred at approximately 1:20 p.m. at the J.P. Morgan Chase branch located at 18018 FM 529 in Cypress, Texas, earlier today. The robber entered the bank and handed tellers a note threatening a gun and demanding cash. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the man fled the area on foot. Within an hour, the second robbery occurred at the J.P. Morgan Chase Branch located at 15380 North Eldridge Parkway in Cypress, Texas. At about 2:15 p.m., and in a similar manner, the robber handed a teller a note threatening a gun and demanding cash. This time, the robber was seen leaving the area in a camo-green colored four-door Honda CRV. No one was physically hurt during either of the bank robberies.

Investigators believe the same robber is responsible for two similar robberies of the J.P. Morgan Chase Bank located at 12350 West FM 1960 Road in Houston, Texas, on September 17, 2014 and November 5, 2014. No one was physically hurt during either of those robberies.

The Longhorn Bank Bandit is described as a Hispanic male, about 5’10” to 6’0” tall, 220 to 250 pounds, and 25 to 30 years old with a beard. In today’s robberies, he wore an orange Texas Longhorn cap, dark sunglasses, and a plaid button-down shirt. He carried a dark leather bi-fold portfolio under his arm.
