Armed Bank Robber Hits Sandersville Wells Fargo Bank

J. Britt Johnson, Special Agent in Charge, FBI Atlanta Field Office, requests the public’s assistance with identifying and apprehending the individual responsible for the August 16, 2014 armed bank robbery in Sandersville, Georgia.

On Saturday, August 16, 2014, at approximately 10:15 a.m., an armed individual entered the Wells Fargo Bank branch located at 216 South Harris Street in Sandersville, Georgia, and, while pointing a handgun at the attending bank teller, presented a demand note and announced a robbery. During the robbery and while brandishing his handgun, the robber was able to obtain an undisclosed amount of money. He then departed the bank without further incident.

The robber is described as being a black or dark-skinned male, approximately 5’6” to 5’8” in height, with acne scars around his eyes and forehead area. He was wearing a gray sweatshirt/hoodie, with light-color fabric/material covering his face, wearing heavy-duty orange protective gloves and light-colored pants and dark shoes.

The FBI is offering a reward leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual responsible for this armed robbery.
