Baden Man Pleads Guilty to Armed Robbery of Ambridge Bank

PITTSBURGH—A resident of Baden, Pennsylvania pleaded guilty in federal court on Wednesday, October 31, 2012, to charges of bank robbery and armed bank robbery, United States Attorney David J. Hickton announced today.
Keith Fisher, 46, of 431 Bryan Avenue, Baden, Pennsylvania, pleaded guilty to the two-count indictment before United States District Judge Joy Flowers Conti.
In connection with the guilty plea, the court was advised that on June 14, 2012, Fisher committed an armed robbery of the Huntington Bank located at 700 Merchant Street, in Ambridge, Pennsylvania. Fisher took $5,548 from the bank, which was later recovered by law enforcement and returned to the bank.
Judge Conti scheduled sentencing for March 1, 2013. The law provides for a total sentence of not more 25 years in prison, a fine of $250,000, or both. Under the Federal Sentencing Guidelines, the actual sentence imposed is based upon the seriousness of the offense and the criminal history, if any, of the defendant.
Assistant United States Attorney Jonathan B. Ortiz is prosecuting this case on behalf of the government.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Ambridge Police Department conducted the investigation that led to the prosecution of Keith Fisher.
