Armed Takeover Robbery of Wells Fargo Bank Branch in Bala Cynwyd

The Lower Merion Township Police Department and the FBI are seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the subjects responsible for Monday’s armed takeover robbery of the Wells Fargo Bank branch located at 307 Levering Mill Road in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania.

At approximately 11:15 a.m. on November 4, 2013, three subjects, armed with at least one handgun, entered the bank. Two of them jumped the counter, while the third controlled the lobby. They seized an undisclosed amount of cash and then fled through the bank’s rear door.

The three subjects are described as black males, ages unknown. All were wearing ski masks, gloves, and dark clothing.

These subjects are considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about this robbery or these subjects is urged to call the FBI at 215-641-8910 or the Lower Merion Township Police Department at 610-649-1000; tipsters can remain anonymous.

There may be a reward from law enforcement for information leading to these subjects’ capture; in addition, Wells Fargo is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.
