Bank Robber Strikes for the Second Time in Two Days

FBI Philadelphia December 17, 2010

The Philadelphia Police Department and the FBI are seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the subject responsible for the robbery of the Citizen’s Bank branch located inside a grocery store at 11000 Roosevelt Boulevard in Philadelphia yesterday afternoon, December 16, 2010. The same individual is believed to also be responsible the robbery of the Citizen’s Bank branch located at 2497 Aramingo Avenue on December 14, 2010.

At approximately 5:00 p.m. yesterday, the subject entered the bank branch and presented a threatening demand note to teller and indicated he was armed with a gun. No weapon was displayed, and there were no injuries. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the subject fled the grocery store on foot and was last seen heading west through the parking lot towards a department store.

The subject is described as a white male in his 20’s, 5’7” tall, thin build, with several days of beard growth. In yesterday’s robbery, he was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with the hood up, and a dark baseball cap.

This subject is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information is asked to call the Philadelphia Police Department or the FBI at 215-418-4000. There may be a reward for information leading to this subject's capture, and tipsters can remain anonymous.
