Philadelphia Man Charged with Drug Trafficking

A three-count indictment was filed today charging Ian Golden with possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking, and being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, announced United States Attorney Michael L. Levy. The charges arise out of the execution of a search warrant at the defendant’s home on October 8, 2009.

If convicted of all charges, the defendant faces a total maximum sentence of lifetime imprisonment, including at least five years’ imprisonment consecutive to any other sentence imposed, five’ years supervised release, a $750,000 fine, and a $300 special assessment.
This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and several suburban police departments. It is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Salvatore L. Astolfi.
