  • Western District of Oklahoma (405) 553-8700

OKLAHOMA CITY—Two separate and unrelated federal indictments were filed bringing charges arising from seven different bank robberies or attempted robberies, announced Sanford C. Coats, United States Attorney for the Western District of Oklahoma.

In one indictment, TERRY LEE KINNEY, 53, and EDMOND J. ITSON, 58, both of Oklahoma City, are alleged to have committed the following:

  • May 6, 2011, robbery of the Bank of Oklahoma, located at 4324 SE 44th Street, Del City, Oklahoma
  • May 11, 2011, robbery of the Coppermark Bank, located at 6809 North Meridian, Oklahoma City
  • May 23, 2011, robbery of the Midfirst Bank, located at 810 Southwest 44th Street, Oklahoma City
  • June 2, 2011, attempted robbery of the Bank of the West, located at 1600 Southwest 89th Street, Oklahoma City

In a separate and unrelated indictment, DARRYL XAVIER ROGERS (a/k/a/ “Pharoh”), 22, of Oklahoma City, is alleged to have committed the following:

  • May 5, 2011, robbery of the Coppermark Bank, located at 1245 S.W. 74th Street, Oklahoma City
  • May 27, 2011, attempted robbery of the Kirkpatrick Bank, located at 222 N.W. 63rd Street, Oklahoma City
  • May 27, 2011, robbery of the Oklahoma Federal Credit Union, located at 517 N.E. 36th Street, Oklahoma City

If convicted, each defendant faces up to 20 years in prison, a fine up to $250,000, and an order to pay restitution for each bank robbery they are charged with committing. The public is reminded that an indictment is only a charge and is not evidence of guilt. A defendant is presumed innocent and is entitled to a fair trial at which the government must prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

These cases are the result of an investigation conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Oklahoma City Police Department. The cases are being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Lee Borden and Ashley Altshuler.
