Drummond Woman Pleads Guilty to Embezzlement From Credit Union

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—John C. Richter, United States Attorney for the Western District of Oklahoma, announced that DONNA KAY GAINER, 60, of Drummond, Oklahoma, pled guilty today to embezzling money from the Tinker Federal Credit Union of Vance Air Force Base during the summer of 2008. Gainer was an employee of the credit union at the time of the embezzlement. According to the plea agreement, the amount of loss attributable to Gainer’s conduct is between $30,000 and $70,000.

Gainer faces up to 30 years in prison and a $1,000,000 fine, plus mandatory restitution at sentencing. A sentencing hearing will be set by the Court in approximately 90 days.

The case is the result of an investigation conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. This case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Sanford C. Coats.
