Early this morning, FBI New York agents carried out the arrest of Jose Sean Pellet, aka Sean Sanford, in Brooklyn, New York. Pellet, who had been convicted in the 1983 shooting death of his girlfriend, was wanted on additional charges for parole violations and the December 23, 1991 murder of an individual in Baltimore, Maryland.

The Baltimore County Police Department requested assistance from the FBI in May 2007, and an unlawful flight to avoid prosecution warrant was issued for Pellet’s arrest. Law enforcement officials believe Pellet had re-entered the United States in 2003 and returned to Brooklyn, living under a number of different aliases.

Pellet was arrested this morning without incident. The investigation was worked in conjunction with the FBI New York Field Office Fugitive Unit and the New York State Parole Office.
