Marty Man Sentenced for Sexual Contact with a Minor

U.S. Attorney Brendan V. Johnson announced that a Marty, South Dakota man charged with sexual contact with a minor was sentenced on April 2, 2012 by Chief U.S. District Judge Karen E. Schreier. Donavan Rouse, age 27, was sentenced to eight months in custody to be followed by five years of supervised release.

Rouse was indicted for abusive sexual contact and sexual contact with a minor by a federal grand jury on October 4, 2011. The incident took place at Marty, South Dakota in August 2011. He pled guilty to sexual contact with a minor on January 13, 2012.

This case was investigated by BIA Law Enforcement Services-Yankton Agency and the FBI. Assistant U.S. Attorney Thomas J. Wright prosecuted the case.

Rouse was immediately turned over to the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service.
