TCF Bank Branch Robbery in Fridley

On March 3, 2011, at approximately 7:00 p.m., the TCF Bank branch located at 5205 Central Avenue in Fridley, Minnesota, was robbed by a lone masked man. The robber came into the bank lobby and displayed a small semi-automatic handgun while ordering everyone in the bank to lie down on the floor. He approached and robbed three different tellers of an undisclosed amount of cash. The robber then fled the bank on foot and was last seen heading towards the apartment building located behind the bank. No vehicle was observed and no one sustained any injuries.

The robber is described as an Asian male, about 5’7” tall and having a slight build. He wore light-colored pants or jeans, a black zippered and hooded jacket, black shirt, a black mask, and black gloves. It is believed that this robber is the same person responsible for the bank robberies of the TCF branches in West St. Paul on January 3, 2011, in St. Paul on February 28, 2011, and in St. Anthony on March 1, 2011.
