Plain Jane Bandit Attempts to Rob Bank of America Branch in Downey
Suspect Wanted in Connection with Seven Robberies

The unidentified female bank robbery suspect known as the Plain Jane Bandit has been linked to an attempted bank robbery this afternoon at approximately 2:15 p.m. at a Bank of America branch located at 10010 Paramount Blvd. in Downey, California.

The suspect’s modus operandi (m.o.) during today’s robbery was similar to the previous robberies and attempted robbery for which investigators believe she is responsible. The Downey Police Department and the FBI responded to the bank today to investigate. Officials with U.S. Bank are offering a reward of up to $10,000 in exchange for information leading to the arrest and conviction of this suspect.

Today’s incident is the second attempted bank robbery linked to the Plain Jane Bandit, in addition to five bank robberies, totaling seven offenses since mid-July. Bank surveillance images from today’s robbery are below.
