Enrichment Federal Credit Union Robbery Suspect Arrested

The Knoxville Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Chief David Rausch of the Knoxville Police Department (KPD) announce the arrest of Daniel E. Lopez, age 39, of Knoxville, Tennessee. At approximately 5:00 p.m. yesterday, Lopez was arrested, without incident, by members of the FBI’s Safe Streets Task Force (which consists of personnel from the FBI, KPD, and KCSO) and the KPD’s Organized Crime Unit. Lopez is facing a federal charge for bank robbery. He is suspected of robbing the Enrichment Federal Credit Union in Knoxville, Tennessee on 02/01/2012. This matter was a joint investigation of the FBI Safe Streets Task Force and the KPD Major Crimes Unit.

All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
