Cameron Isaac Bernache, 19, was arrested Thursday in connection with the July 1, 2011 robbery of BBVA Compass Bank, 4624 4th Street NW in Albuquerque.

Bernache, of Albuquerque, is expected to have an initial appearance in U.S. District Court on Friday.

FBI special agents and officers with the Albuquerque Police Department’s Repeat Offender Project team arrested Bernache at a city skate park around noon.

The bank robbery occurred when a man walked into the bank and gave a teller a note that demanded money.

He left with an undisclosed amount of money. Nobody was hurt.

Charges in criminal complaints and indictments are only accusations. All criminal defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
