Rio Rancho Bank Robbery

The FBI and Rio Rancho Police are looking for a man who used a handgun to rob a First Community Bank branch at about 10:30 a.m. today.

The suspect wore a tan bandana over his face, a blue coat with a hood, and black gloves. He’s described as about 5’10” to 6’ tall, medium build, and is probably in his mid-30s.

The man showed a gun to a teller at the bank at 1000 Commercial Drive and demanded money. He left with an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency.

No injuries were reported. No further details are available.

The FBI is investigating whether this robbery might be related to any others.

A reward of up to $1,000 may be available for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the subject. Anyone with information is asked to call the Albuquerque FBI Office at (505) 889-1300 (24 hours) or Rio Rancho Police Department at 505-891-5900.
