Ganesvoort Man Pleads Guilty to Receiving Child Pornography
Received Hundreds of Still Images and Videos of Child Pornography via the Internet

ALBANY, NY—Wayne L. Conrad, Jr., age 47, of Gansevoort, New York, pled guilty today in United States District Court in Albany before United States District Court Judge Mae A. D’Agostino to one count of receiving child pornography, announced United States Attorney Richard S. Hartunian; Clifford C. Holly, Special Agent in Charge, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Albany Division; and Joseph D’Amico, Superintendent of New York State Police.

Pursuant to a written plea agreement, Conrad admitted that between May 2007 and February 1, 2012, he used the Internet to access child pornography websites and various file sharing networks and downloaded hundreds of still images and videos of child pornography onto his home computer and external hard drives.

Sentencing was scheduled by Judge D’Agostino for February 6, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. in Albany, New York. Conrad faces a mandatory minimum sentence of at least five years of imprisonment and up to a maximum of 20 years of imprisonment. CONRAD was detained pending his sentencing.

This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the New York State Police.
