The Springfield Division honors Hoyleton Ministries for assistance to victims of human trafficking through its Rescue & Restore program. For more than 100 years, Hoyleton Ministries has been creating a better world for the children and families it serves. Founded as an orphanage in 1895, Hoyleton Ministries can trace its beginnings back to the former Evangelical and Reformed Church, which later became the United Church of Christ. This long and successful history is not a laurel to rest upon, but instead a challenge to continue evolve with its client’s changing needs. The men and women of Hoyleton Ministries believe that this forward-looking attitude will allow them to touch more lives in more ways than ever before. Hoyleton Ministries maintains an online resource and referral network of victim services, and they are a statewide leader in training foster parents to learn to identify and respond to the needs of underage human trafficking victims. Hoyleton Ministries supports Operation Cross Country, an annual law enforcement action to address sexual exploitation of juveniles, by providing personnel knowledgeable in victim services to assist in the operation. |
