Oklahoma City
2014 Director’s Community Leadership Awards
Oklahoma City | S. Elaine Dodd |
The Oklahoma City Division honors Ms. S. Elaine Dodd for her work on behalf of Oklahoma seniors and defrauded consumers. Ms. Dodd’s passion, service, and commitment to her community and the citizens of Oklahoma began more than four decades ago, when she became the first female agent with the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics (OBN). Ms. Dodd spent 22 years in law enforcement as an OBN investigator, retiring in 1995 as the agency’s director. She has been a featured speaker for the DEA and the pharmaceutical industry at conferences across the United States and has been recognized for writing legislation to implement the nation’s first computerized tracking program for prescription drugs. Ms. Dodd currently serves as vice president of the Fraud Division of the Oklahoma Bankers Association. She goes above and beyond to help the community, providing investigative assistance to banks and training bank employees, accountants, bank customers, and many others to recognize fraud. She also trains senior citizens to avoid falling prey to scams. |
