The Memphis Division honors Mr. Jamie D. Isabel, Sr. for his work serving as an advocate for the less fortunate.

Mr. Isabel hasn’t taken his success for granted, and works to share his knowledge of business practices with area youth. He and his wife have hosted business lunches for young members of the community—particularly those living in public housing developments—to discuss business opportunities and teach them how they can better themselves. Mr. Isabel also provided more than 150 turkeys to public housing families over Thanksgiving.

As a member of the Promotional Product Association, Mr. Isabel proposed and directed the development of the group’s first Habitat for Humanity House, including purchasing the house with association funds. Mr. Isabel was elected to the Nashville City Council after pushing an agenda to provide public housing residents with free Internet access, enabling students to complete school assignments. He was also responsible for raising the budget for public education by an additional $1 million.
