Conduct scientific, thorough, and systematic scene and telephonic investigations into deaths that by law are under the jurisdiction of the medicolegal office.

Disseminate the investigative information to departmental forensic scientists to achieve a coordinated, efficient, and complete death inquiry.

Emphasizes the medical aspects of death investigation. Not designed to be a homicide seminar.
