FBI and Carlsbad Police Department Seek Public’s Assistance to Identify Comerica Bank Robber

The FBI and Carlsbad Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the unknown male responsible for robbing the Comerica Bank located at 2626 El Camino Real in Carlsbad, California, on Friday, January 4, 2013.
On Friday, January 4, 2013, at approximately 4:40 p.m., the Comerica Bank branch located at 2626 El Camino Real in Carlsbad, California, was robbed by an unknown male. At the time of the robbery, the robber approached the victim teller and told the teller that he was there to rob the teller. The robber ordered the teller to place his/her hands in the air and demanded money. The robber feigned having a weapon in his jacket pocket. After receiving a sum of money, the robber walked out of the bank. The robber was last seen entering the driver side of a white, 1990s Toyota extended cab pick-up truck. No injuries were reported, and no weapon observed during the robbery.
Witnesses describe the robber as follows:
- Sex: Male
- Race: White
- Tattoos: Tattoos visible around neck up to jaw line
- Height: Approximately 5’5” tall
- Weight: Approximately 140-150 pounds
- Hair: Small mustache
- Build: Skinny
- Clothing: Black baseball cap, gray hooded sweatshirt, and dark brown pants
