FBI and Local Law Enforcement Seek Public’s Assistance to Identify Bank Robber

The FBI and local law enforcement are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the unknown male believed responsible for robbing two banks within the last ten days. The suspect is believed to be responsible for the Friday, June 3, 2011, robbery of the U.S. Bank, inside of the Albertsons grocery store, 3925 Mission Avenue, Oceanside, California, and today’s robbery of the Wells Fargo Bank, inside of the Food 4 Less grocery store, 500 Hacienda Drive, Vista, California.

In both robberies the suspect waited in line until called to the teller station. Once at the teller station he presents a demand note for cash and threatens to possess a weapon. Upon receiving money from the teller he walks in the direction of the grocery store exit doors.

Witnesses describe the robber as follows:

Sex: Male
Race: White
Age: Mid to late 20s
Height: Approximately 5’7”-5’9” tall
Build: Skinny to medium
Clothing: Dark baseball cap with gold sticker on cap bill and letters, light-colored jacket, dark shirt, dark pants, and wire-rimmed glasses
