FBI and Carlsbad Police Department Seek Public’s Assistance to Identify Navy Federal Credit Union Robber

The FBI and Carlsbad Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the unknown male responsible for robbing the Navy Federal Credit Union, 1824 Marron Road, Carlsbad, California, on Monday, November 14, 2011.

On Monday, November 14, 2011, at approximately 5:30 p.m. the Navy Federal Credit Union, located at 1824 Marron Road, Carlsbad, California, was robbed by an unknown male. At the time of the robbery, the robber entered the bank and stood in line until called by a teller. Once at the teller counter, the robber was asked to remove a blue bandana that was draped over his head and part of his face. The robber then announced that he was there to rob the teller and demanded money from the teller. The teller complied with the robber’s demand and provided the robber with a sum of money. After receiving the money the robber walked out of the bank and left the area possibly in a vehicle of unknown make and model. No injuries were reported and no weapon observed.

Witnesses describe the robber as follows:

Sex: Male
Race: White
Age: Approximately 40 years old
Height: Approximately 5’8” to 5’10” tall
Build: Medium
Hair/Coloring: Short brown and gray hair
Clothing: Long sleeve blue shirt with a red tee-shirt underneath, jeans, construction style work boots, glasses, and wearing a blue bandana on his head
