Cynthia Marie Alaniz Wanted for Bank Robbery

PHOENIX—Phoenix FBI Special Agent in Charge James L. Turgal, Jr. announced the FBI’s Bank Robbery Task Force is seeking the public’s assistance in determining the whereabouts of Cynthia Marie Alaniz. Alaniz is a 23-year-old Hispanic female.

Alaniz is charged with bank robbery, attempted bank robbery, and aiding and abetting. She allegedly robbed the National Bank of Arizona, 219 North 4th Street, Buckeye, Arizona on January 20, 2011. In addition, on January 21, 2011, she allegedly attempted to rob the Arizona Business Bank, 12775 West Bell Road, Surprise, Arizona.

Any information regarding the whereabouts of Cynthia Marie Alaniz should be reported to the FBI at 623-466-1999 or to Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.

The Bank Robbery Task Force is comprised of the Phoenix Police Department, Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, Mesa Police Department, and the FBI.

An indictment is simply the method by which a person is charged with criminal activity and raises no inference of guilt. An individual is presumed innocent until competent evidence is presented to a jury that establishes guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
