FBI Mortgage Fraud Task Force Conducts Arrests as Part of “Operation Stolen Dreams”

Early this morning, the FBI’s Mortgage Fraud Task Force, comprised of the FBI, HUD, NY State Banking Department, U.S. Secret Service, FDIC, Federal Reserve Bank, USPIS, SDNY, and the IRS conducted numerous arrests and search warrants in an ongoing federal mortgage fraud investigation. Investigators from SIGTARP and HIFCA also participated. This is part of the national initiative“Operation Stolen Dreams.”
Those arrested will appear in federal court in Manhattan later today. We refer you to the United States Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of New York for any additional information.
