Law Enforcement Seeking Public’s Assistance in Identifying Bank Robber

The FBI and the Sulphur Police Department (PD), Crowley PD, Rayne PD, and Jennings PD are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating an individual believed responsible for recent bank robberies and an attempted bank robbery.

On July 8, 2010, at 9:37 a.m., a white male, approximately 5’10” - 6’ tall, 40-50 years old with an average build, wearing a dark baseball hat possibly bearing a Miami Heat logo on the front, dark sunglasses, blue shirt, khaki cargo shorts, and white tennis shoes, entered the First National Bank located at 128 North Parkerson Avenue, Crowley, Louisiana and handed the teller a note demanding money. The individual fled the bank on foot without any money. The following bank surveillance images are from this attempted robbery.

The following banks were robbed by an individual with similar descriptive information:

  • July 8, 2010, at 10:05 a.m., Rayne State Bank at 200 South Adams Street, Rayne, Louisiana. The robber fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.
  • April 26, 2010, at approximately 10:19 a.m., Whitney National Bank, 1805 Ruth Street, Sulphur, Louisiana. During this robbery, the suspect presented a demand note and placed an undisclosed amount of money in a plastic bag. He fled in a southerly direction.   • March 1, 2010, at approximately 10:45 a.m., a white male, wearing a black jacket with a hood covering a white hat on his head, robbed the Jeff Davis Bank located at 405 West Division Street in Jennings, Louisiana. The robber demanded money which he placed in a white plastic shopping bag. He fled the bank in a southerly direction with an undisclosed amount of money. Anyone with any information regarding these bank robberies and/or the suspect is requested to contact the FBI New Orleans Division’s Lafayette Resident Agency at 337-233-2164 or the Lake Charles Resident Agency at 337-433-6353 or any of the local agencies mentioned above.
