Robbery of Gate City Bank in Williston

On July 18, 2012, at approximately 12:30 p.m., a lone white male entered the Gate City Bank in Williston, North Dakota. The robber approached the teller counter and verbally demanded cash. Although no weapon was seen, the robber implied that he had a gun. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency, the robber fled the bank.

The robber was described as a white male, approximately 6’0” in height, and weighing approximately 200 lbs. The robber was also described as having a medium build. The robber wore a cream-colored cap, a blue T-shirt, and rectangular, prescription sunglasses.
